i need to work on a short.

we'll see what happens with schooling in January.

I'll prob end up staying in SF at AAU.

That's cool.

At this moment...right now...

my goal is to have a spacegirl short done by April.

Keep the aesthetics simple. (meaning no color)

I just saw 'Step Brothers'.

Hilarious.

And kinda heart-felt/serious on some level.

Usually the two things occured at the same time.

I found out today i think...that this guy worked on UP.
I think I've seen him around.
Maybe in the 2d lab.
And supposedly...he lives in the same dorm as i do.
He's listed the shots he worked on.


I saw UP for the third time today.
The tears were a little more forceful than before for some reason.
No waterfalls or anything.
I think it's just the appreciation of what I was seeing on screen.
I questioned Carl's talking to 'Ellie' a little more.
I suppose it helps with the whole letting-go-of-the-past-and-moving-forward thing.
But on a psychological level...i questioned it.
Maybe it was a comment on religion?

Bought a book on digital painting yesterday.
My eyes were opened.

photoshop

i did something crazy the other day.
I updated my tablet (Graphire 4x6 i think) driver for my current computer.
And you know what happened?
I got used to using my tablet.
(After having it for like 2 years)

crazy.

I did some research on coloring in photoshop.
I came across the processes of Kibuishi's and Laughead's illustrations/comics.

I won't post my final Animation1 final yet.

I have to shoot it over and add sound.

The plan is to block it out in Illustrator.

Then take it into Photoshop.

major updates...

i'm getting used to animating (and a little rigging) with maya.

Strange thing...

it operates just like 2d...

it's just in 3 dimensions....

crazy.

Tom Bertino is wise fellow...and awesome.

Yesterday was our last day in 'History of Animation'.

We mostly...well...only...asked him questions about

himself and in return, he answered them and

gave advice and such about the animation industry.

a class day well-spent.

I got accepted into Animation Mentor. 

(AWESOME!)

so...i'll have to say goodbye to AAU's tuition and housing

rates after this coming summer semester.

i've got until tomorrow to finish my 3d animation short (animation and rendering).

Friday until my 2D short.

(i should've had that finished by now...but i've started over about 3 times...not 

because anything was wrong...but bc i felt more and more like expressing myself...

silly me huh?  =|  )

UPDATE:

looks like I won't be attending AM.

Need at least a 4 year credit history for the sallie mae loan.

And a job. (don't have one yet)

Guess I'll stay here and keep pushing myself.

ok...

this is like the 5th version of this blog.

i'll try to keep it updated every week at least.

with art-related stuff.

maybe this will keep me focused and motivated.
